Now I like to go out to a restaurant as much as the next person but let me just say after a long day at work there is nothing better than walking through your door knowing that you can get comfy and fix your own homemade dinner and be in for the evening(maybe I am getting old….LOL) Nah I like to go to but I love to be home!!!

So who doesn’t love a juicy Philly cheesesteak sandwich??? As I type this my mouth is watering thinking about it!

  • steak umms
  • 1/2 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 green pepper finely chopped
  • Salt  to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • Seasoning salt
  • Hoagie rolls
  •  4 tablespoons Butter(for the bread)
  • 1 clove Garlic minced(for the bread)
  • Provolone cheese
  • Condiments of your liking: lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, banana peppers…

  • Heat skillet over medium heat and add onions, garlic and pepper
  • Stir veggies up until cooked through and tender
  • Add steak on top(fixing two sandwiches I placed two steaks in the skillet) on top of the veggies
  • Salt, pepper to taste on the steak(I did both sides)
  • Turn so not to burn
  • Begin crumbling up the steak as it is cooking and stir
  • You will want it a little brown(this makes the steak crispy but not all of it should be crispy, unless that is how you like it)
  • Cook through
  • As your meat is cooking heat up your toaster oven
  • Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in microwave until butter is liquid(you can also use spray butter)
  • Add 1 clove of minced garlic to the hot butter
  • Brush hot butter on to each hoagie half
  • {lace the open hoagie in the toaster oven and toast until golden brown
  • Remove from oven
  • The meat should be cooked through now
  • Place 2 slices of provolone cheese on one half of the hoagie and a heaping spoonful of the meat on top(covering the bread/cheese)
  • Add any condiments that you may want: mayo, lettuce, tomato, peppers, mustard
  • Shut the sandwich and let rest for just a minute
  • Slice the sandwich in half and enjoy with potato chips, fries or a salad

I hope you enjoy this recipe let us know below if you decide to try it!
