When someone says cheesesteaks, Philly is the first thing we think of. A traditional cheesesteak with cheesewhiz.
In WV I make a pretty good cheesesteak sandwich and never do I claim it to be a Philly Cheesesteak.

- sirloin steak
- minced garlic
- onion sliced into strings
- salt and pepper
- cheesesteak seasoning
- worscheshire sauce
- mozzarella and provolone cheese
- hoagie rolls
- toppings; mayo, peppers, mustard

Cheesesteak WV style

1 pound sirloin steak shaved thin
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon worschshire sauce
1 medium onion sliced into thin strings
Seasoning to taste; salt, pepper, cheesesreak seasoning(see pictures)
1 toasted hoagie roll per person
1 cup mozzarella and provolone cheese shredded
Directions
- In a medium to large skillet place a tablespoon olive oil, heat up and add steak and garlic
- cook steak until done, breaking it up as it cooks
- place onions into skillet when steak is about halfway cooked, Saute until translucent
- season the steak and onion mixture and simmer 5 minutes
- add cheese to top of meat mixture and remove from heat and covet to melt cheese
- add meat and cheese to toasted hoagie roll
- top with your favorite toppings, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, mayo, mustard
- enjoy
