Book club

I have never been too keen on reading books but always wanted to join or start a book club, funny right? I just love the idea of a group of friends and even strangers getting together to discuss their readings, what they learned, being able to learn from each other and have a sense of community and connection.

I have decided to start my own book club virtually, what isn’t virtual these days anyway.

Each Monday I will post my thoughts from a different chapter in the book I am currently reading and for the next book I will offer time for you to also get the book so you can read along if you desire to.

Book club Monday I will call it

I am so excited, the first book could be considered slightly controversial but it was something I needed to be able to do for myself.

My book is: “Me and my white supremacy” by Layla Saad

The book is deep and emotional and somewhat uncomfortable to read but as I said before it was much needed, I desired to understand and know more about the roots of racism the systemic oppression, what my role is, how I can help be the solution, and what is angering everyone so much(what is the real reason everyone is so angry today(more about that in my book club journal)

I purchased my book from Amazon as a kindle edition you can get it here

It is $8.12 for the kindle edition

Don’t want to purchase but want to know more too follow along as I share what I get from each chapter on my personal journey.

If you don’t agree with what I am reading and posting that is totally fine. I just ask that you remain kind and open minded as I am sharing my personal journey that has nothing to do with anyone else, refrain from hateful or negative comments please.

See you Monday
