Mom’s coleslaw

What else do you call it? I mean we have an official recipe somewhere but mom always makes it her own so I am just going to refer to it as moms coleslaw

Here is what you will need

  • Head of cabbage
  • 1/2 medium onion diced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup of mayo

  • In a food processor shred the cabbage
  • Transfer to a storage bowl
  • Add the diced onion
  • Stir with a fork
  • Add sugar, salt, pepper stir
  • Add mayo stir
  • Put a lid on the container and put into fridge for at least 4 hours before serving
  • Will last in airtight container for 2 days but not if it has been outside at a picnic or cookout
  • Serve on hot dogs, country nachos, as a side dish to your favorite meals or on its own
