This is not the official kind of bolognese, I love bolpgnese and it typically takes all day to make, I know but it resembles the look of bolognese and since we created this recipe (it came out of our heads) we can name it😁

This recipe takes less than 1 hour close to 30 minutes which makes it perfect for a weeknight dinner

Here is what you will need

Ingredients

  • 1/2 medium onion diced
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 lb Italian sausage(mild or spicy your choice) i used mild but added red pepper flakes
  • Box bowtie pasta
  • 1 qt jar marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Garnish
    • Mozz cheese
    • Parmesean cheese
    • Pesto

Directions

  • In a medium saucepan heat tablespoon oil add the onion and garlic and simmer until onions are translucent
  • Break italian sausage up (tearing it as you drop it into the pan with the onions) constantly stir tearing up the sausage into tiny pieces
  • Cook over medium until the sausafe is completely cooked and no pink remains
  • Add hot pepper flakes stir
  • Add thr entire jar of marinara stir
  • Simmer 10 minutes
  • Bring a generously salted pot of water to boil
  • Boil the box of bowtie pasta until tender
  • Add 1/4 cup heavy cream into the bolognese stir
  • Simmer 5 additional minutes
  • Drain pasta
  • Serve pasta on your favorite dish
  • Laddle bolognese on top of pasta
  • Garnish with mozzerella cheese, Parmesean cheese, pesto (whatever you wish)
  • Serve immediately with garlic bread, garden salad, coleslaw
